This contestant on Nashville Star claims her family is related to Elvis's grandmother. That was the big reveal on last night's show.

Feb. 22 - Repeat interview with Mr. S

On Jonsey's Jukebox the repeated the Adam Sandler show where he plays Sandler a French song that references Elvis and then plays some singer that sounds like Elvis.

Feb. 18 - How could I resist buying this? I couldn't.

Flipping thru saw that there were quite a few Elvis mentions. The author apparently already wrote a book of places Elvis slept.

In the new DVD section, there was both the '68 Special and the Ed Sullivan show DVDs.

Feb. 17 - Christmas in February

Used record shopping, bought an Xmas CD that was misc songs in which Elvis sang one. When importing to iTunes, iTunes recommended other Elvis Xmas stuff.

Feb. 17 - Tiaras and Tattoos and Elvis

After the movie, we went to one of those junk card stores in the mall and bought tiaras and superman tattoos -- just because. Of course, there was tons of Elvis junk stuff in that store...

Feb. 13 - Variety Ad

Elvis's new publishing house took out a 1/3 page ad in today's variety (complete with picture) announcing they're repping the songs.

Feb. 9 - Pre-Judy Garland

Before the American Masters special on Ms. Garland, they showed the trailer for Am. Masters which has a shot of Elvis. I think I've mentioned this before, but I was surprised to see again.

Feb 8 - A new dead icon

From a Defamer comment re: Anna Nicole Death:

I know I already said this, but I really hope

Feb 7 - Twice in Variety

One an entire article complete with picture of his music catalog moving to another administrator. And then an obit for Barbara McNair, mentioning her role in an Elvis movie.

Feb. 6 - Story about getting married in vegas

So of course there's a picture of the Elvis impersonator and a mention of being married by him.

Feb 4 - On a movie channel

Checking out what's playing, I note that Roustabout is about to begin on one of the mainstream movie channels late at night, either HBO or Encore... Didn't bother to watch.
