April 11 - Late catching up on magazines

Friday is usually EW reading day, but I'm catching up now that I'm home. Was afraid the EW might break the lucky streak, but no, for a third week in a row, it happened. It took until p. 92, but there, mixed in a "What's New in...Poetry?" special feature, comparing 4 new poetry books, is Mark Haddon's The Talking Horse and the Sad Girl and the Village Under the Sea" -- in the Pop Culture Reference excerpt: "We feel like hunters from the lowlands/of the Congo hearing Elvis Presley/on a Walkman..."
